Sacha Baron Cohen, J'accuse! an open letter to Commentary Magazine and a Southpark Jew 's call to Boycott Borat
Sacha Baron Cohen, you are a traitor of Zion, and you deserves to be thrown down a well (but a boycott and expression of true repentance should suffice), lest we make our REAL adversaries (the David Dukes, Mel Gibsons, Mahathir Mohammeds, Osama Bin Ladens and Mahmud Ahmadinejads) right!
To the Editors of Commentary Magazine:
Baron Cohen is a British Jewish aristocrat who came to America to take a serious position, deriding Bush, the war, and the heartland folk who send their children to fight the war. In the Borat movie, he is deriding Americans as a bunch of bloodthirsty hillbillies who are no more civil than the headchopping neo-nazi Islamists who we are fighting. And it is in this context that he is making a statement about the irrationality and stupidity of common anti-semitism! While he shoves others toward the gas chamber, the scimitar, and the dirty bomb, he is laughing all the way to his 8-figure bank account.
He is using deception and shock-comedy to achieve his objective. His masks are so effective that some of our clearest thinkers have so far failed to see through his vicious hoax. (This is why it's particularly pernicious!) I don't care about how he shocks and offends relentlessly; I am a loyal fan of Southpark's *equal-opportunity* shock-humor; I would not be offended to be called a "Southpark Jew"! Some wise reviewers need to take off their rose-colored glasses and see the Barren Kohain's shits and giggles for the shite they are. We imagined (I was initially deceived too) a Southpark-like even-handedness that was not in fact present in this movie. When it comes down to it, the disgraceful Stadium scene was not remotely counterbalanced.
I know Southpark! I've smoked with Southpark! And let me tell you ...Borat is NO Southpark!
